On November 24, 2017, ComTec held its annual alumni gathering. The gathering offers ComTec alumni, students, and Doctoral candidates at ComTec an excellent opportunity to discuss career prospects and current research trends, as well as to establish or maintain professional connections.

This year, two special guest speakers were invited: Guihua Ciao from Vancouver (Canada) and Oliver Coutand from San Francisco (USA). Both alumni joined the gathering via video call and told the other participants about their current work and daily lives abroad. Alumnus Philipp Wenzel concluded the lecture series with a presentation titled “Software Development and Continuous Integration in a Current ekom21 Project.”

To wrap up the meeting, ComTec hosted a casual get-together in the department, followed by dinner.
