On November 21, 2018, Nicolas Langemann presented his bachelor’s thesis titled “Visual Parking Space Occupancy Detection Using Machine Learning.” The thesis focused on the development and comparison of three detection methods designed to determine parking space occupancy. Photos of a parking lot were used as the basis for the study. Algorithms from both machine learning and image recognition were employed.
