Lukas Fräger, a PhD student in the Power Electronics Group and Head of Electronics Development at BLOCK Transformatoren-Elektronik GmbH in Verden, has co-authored a journal article with Jens Friebe on the topic: ‘Online Optimization of Efficiency and Transient Thermal Behaviour in Bidirectional Power Converters Using Analytical Models’.
The article describes a methodology for reducing power loss, or alternatively increasing the power output of power converters, with a particular focus on short-term overloads. It has been published in the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics.
