BAUNATAL. As a municipal energy supplier, EAM plays an important role
in the implementation of the energy transition. Whether it's taking in energy generated from renewable
sources or integrating electromobility and heat pumps -
the electricity grid is the backbone of the energy transition. In order to master the diverse tasks
for the energy supply of tomorrow, EAM is looking for young
people who want to drive forward and actively shape the energy transition. The
company is training industrial clerks, office management clerks,
environmental technologists (m/f/d) for water supply,
digitalization management clerks and electronics technicians (m/f/d) for industrial engineering and
offers dual study courses leading to a Bachelor of Science/ Engineering in electrical engineering,
business informatics or computer science.
EAM is currently training around 100 young people. They come from the
entire network area, which covers large parts of Hesse and southern Lower Saxony
as well as parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate
. Part of the training takes place in the training workshop in
Baunatal in northern Hesse. The practical parts are completed by the
trainees close to home in a regional team. The aim is for the
trainees to be employed at an EAM location in
their home region after successfully completing their training.
Living at the EAM Campus
The EAM Campus in Baunatal forms the heart of the holistic training.
The trainees can live here for the week and are accompanied by a
dedicated team of educators who support them in their individual
learning development and work with them to design an attractive sports and
leisure program. In addition to a canteen, the extensive grounds of the EAM Campus offer
various fitness and common rooms as well as a
volleyball court. Starting an apprenticeship usually also
means taking the first step towards independence. This is supported by the team of educators and
training team as contact partners at all levels.
You can find out more about training at EAM at:

The City of Kassel’s Road Traffic and Civil Engineering Office serves as the municipal construction authority and the lower-level road traffic authority. Engineers, planners, technicians, road builders, administrative staff, and civil servants plan, build, and operate Kassel’s road traffic infrastructure. Its main areas of focus include strategic traffic and mobility planning; the design and detailed planning of roads, bridges, and technical facilities—such as traffic signal systems—as well as their construction, operation, and maintenance. The office employs approximately 150 employees.
TÜV Hessen guarantees the safety and environmental protection, quality and marketability of systems, products and services. We have a vision for the future: the safe and harmonious coexistence of people, technology and the environment. We make mobility safer and more sustainable with a wide range of car-related services. Our wide range of services includes technical inspections, consulting, expert opinions and tests as well as training and certification.
On the Technology Day, you will get a special insight into the work of the experts.
We will show you key elements of the calculation and testing of gas and hydrogen pipelines - a central component of modern energy supply. You will learn how these pipelines are tested for safety and stability and why this is particularly challenging in the case of hydrogen.
You will also learn how technical systems in buildings are inspected - for example emergency power generators, wall hydrants or charging stations for electric vehicles. You will learn what is important in these tests and why they are so important for the protection and safety of people in the building. You can also experience an elevator test directly on site.
Of course, we also take a close look at passenger cars and show you how lighting, brakes, tires and wheels are tested. One of our experts will demonstrate how a main and exhaust emissions test is carried out.
