After successfully defending his dissertation on October 31, 2014, Fabian Hüger received his doctorate. With his thesis titled “A Flexible Control and Display Interface for Extensions in Driver Information Systems,” he impressively demonstrated how driver information systems can integrate, display, and utilize external functions, such as applications from smartphones carried in the vehicle. Among other things, he developed a user interface for passenger car onboard computers whose dynamic and static content is designed to minimize distractions from the actual driving experience. We congratulate him and wish him continued success.
