Application Form for "Promote Your Career"

Dear Prospective Student,

Please apply for our project if you would like to take German courses at the A1.2, A2.2, or B2 levels during the summer semester. Please remember to submit all required documentation (enrollment certificate for the summer semester of 2026) in a single PDF file (you can combine them here) and use your uk email address. A new cycle of the “Promote Your Career” (PYC) project will begin in the 2026–27 winter semester. If you are not currently enrolled in the PYC courses, you must reapply. Applications submitted during the 2026 summer semester will no longer be valid.

1. Fill out the application form

  • The form will be available from September 14 through October 9, 2026.
  • All fields marked with an * are required. If a required field is left blank, you will receive an error message and your application will not be submitted.
  • You should take notes for your statement of purpose before filling out the form.

2. Indicate and provide proof of German language proficiency

  • If you do not have any knowledge of German, you do not need to provide proof.
  • If you already have German language skills, please take the Cornelsen language test for German as a Foreign Language: https://www.cornelsen.de/empfehlungen/sprachtest/deutsch-als-fremdsprache
  • Select the appropriate level: A1, A2, or B1.
  • Allow about 45–60 minutes for the test, and do not use a dictionary.
  • You will receive your test results by email and can use them as proof of your German language proficiency.
  • Alternatively, you can submit a language certificate (no older than 1 year), e.g., telc, Goethe Certificate.

3. Upload documents and submit your application

Please create a single PDF file containing the following documents:

  • Certificate of enrollment —please do not submit a letter of admission.
  • Language certificate (no older than 1 year) or Cornelsen Test at level A1.2 or higher
  • Only PDF files are accepted for upload. You can combine individual files using pdf24 to combine individual files into a single PDF file: https://tools.pdf24.org/de/.

Important: Incomplete applications will not be considered. If any documents are missing or do not meet the requirements, you must reapply. Applications accompanied by a letter of admission will not be accepted.
