Course 1. A1.2 German course for beginners with previous knowledge of German
Target level: A1.2 based on level A1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (Required level: A1.1 with at least 100 hours of tuition)
Course content: This course has been developed for beginners with previous knowledge of German and provides strategies for simple communicative situations in everyday life and at university. The four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking are practised. Online materials and lesson tests as well as writing assignments on the Moodle learning platform complete the course content and are mandatory. This course also includes a mandatory workshop on Friday, 13 March 2026, 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Textbook: Netzwerk neu A1.2, course and workbook with audio and video (Klett Verlag), ISBN: 978-3-12-607169-7. Purchase of the course materials is mandatory.
Course dates: 2 March - 1 April 2025, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (including a 15-minute break), group lessons with teachers.

Course 2. B1.2 German course for advanced learners with previous knowledge
Target level: B1.2 based on level B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (Required level: B1.1 with at least 100 hours of tuition)
Course content: This course aims to consolidate grammatical structures and basic vocabulary, practise listening and reading comprehension, and expand oral and written expression skills. For example, you will participate in discussions, express your opinion in writing and orally, represent your own point of view, learn how to prepare and give a short presentation, and describe graphics. The topics are general and science-oriented. Videos, online materials, lesson tests and writing assignments on the Moodle learning platform supplement the course content and are mandatory. This course includes a mandatory self-study unit and a mandatory workshop on Friday, 20 March 2026, from 9:00 to 11:30, and concludes with an in-person B1 exam in April 2026.
