Preferred dial-in method

Since the winter semester 2015/16, the Institute of German Studies has been participating in the preferential selection procedure.
Students from participating teaching units can apply for preferential enrolment in courses on their degree program. This is valid for one semester. If the application is approved, the students receive a place in the seminars of their choice. The IT system automatically ensures that these students are enrolled.

The application can be made for the following reasons

• chronic illness or disability (proven by a medical certificate, preferably using the attached certificate)
• Child to be cared for up to the age of 12 (proven by a copy of the birth certificate)
• Pregnancy with expected date of delivery during the semester (proven by medical confirmation of pregnancy with indication of the date of delivery)
• Care of a close relative (proven by a copy of a document according to §§ 44, 44a SGB XI)

Applications for the BA and MA degree programs must be submitted on time and in full, including all required documents, to the mailbox of the Student Coordination Office, Kurt-Wolters-Str. 5, Room 4047 (bottom row on the right). The applications for the teacher training programs will be processed centrally in the future and must be submitted on time and in full, including all required documents, to Nora-Platiel-Str. 5, 1st floor, Postfach 21 (opposite room 1211). Further information can be found here.
