Theology student Dominic Fröhle receives the Martin Wagenschein Prize from the University of Kassel

As part of the teaching degree graduation ceremony on 10.12.2016, Mr. Dominic Fröhle received the university's Wagenschein Prize alongside student Ms. Lorenz for his exam paper written in Catholic theology/religious education for the elementary school teaching degree.

The Wagenschein Prize is awarded by the University of Kassel in recognition of outstanding academic theses written by students in the teaching profession. In the person of Martin Wagenschein, the University of Kassel sees a person committed to teacher training who programmatically stands for the integration of the elements involved in the study of teaching, in particular the social science/pedagogical and subject-specific/didactic parts of teacher training. The Wagenschein Prize is endowed with EUR 500. In addition, publication of the work in the publication series of the Center for Teacher Training at the University of Kassel is made possible.

Dominic Fröhle wrote his examination thesis for elementary school in the subject of Catholic theology/religious education on the topic of "Approaches to the experience of God in religious education: Empirical explorations and religious education analyses". The work places the role of the experience of God at the center of its findings. It searches for theologically and educationally justified answers as to what role the experience of God can meaningfully play in religious education.
