Crediting of practical components for extension examination (EP)

The school internships to be completed (SPS II/Praxissemester) may be replaced by an equivalent subject didactics module within the framework of an EP. Likewise, credits for school internships from the studies for the First State Examination (ESP) are possible, provided that the subject of the EP has an affinity to one of the subjects of the ESP (e.g. between the modern foreign languages or between the theologies and philosophy).

To do so, students should contact the credit transfer officer of their subject:

InstituteCredit Transfer Officer
English / American StudiesProf. Dr. Claudia Finkbeiner
Protestant TheologyProf. Dr. Petra Freudenberger-Lötz
German StudiesProf. Dr. Olaf Gätje
Catholic TheologyProf. Dr. Annegret Reese-Schnitker
PhilosophyDr. Francesca Michelini
Romance StudiesProf. Dr. Claudia Schlaak

Credit for the practical part of an affine subject:

Step 1: Students prove the SPS II of an affine subject from the ESP via their performance overviews to the  crediting representatives and have the crediting confirmed on the routing slip with signature and stamp.

Step 2:  Students then submit the routing slip with the performance summary to the respective LA Examination Office. The performance is entered there. The grade will be transferred.

Credit for an Equivalency Module:

Step 1: Students contact the credit transfer representatives to discuss which equivalent services are to be provided. These services are noted on the routing slip and confirmed with the signature of the credit transfer officers.

Step  2: The services are performed and the result is documented on the routing slip by the reviewing officers with signature and stamp. An overall grade is required.

Step 3: The routing slip is submitted to the respective LA examiner's office where the performance is recorded as a credit.

In a round of subject didacticians on 19 January 22, the following were agreed upon as possible equivalent performances: a reflection discussion on a teaching series, an elaboration on a teaching series, a didactic seminar with examination performance or a term paper on a subject-specific topic.
