Podcast series: Camp Culture - Sexualities, protection and violence in international youth work

The four-part podcast series presents selected research results from the peer research conducted by "SchutzNorm" in Kassel. The podcast series "Camp Culture" as a presentation of the results of the research and analysis will be published as part of the digital youth festival "Was ist normal? Digital Youth Festival on Sexuality, Violence and Protection in Child and Youth Work". This will take place from May 6-8, 2021 for and with young people aged between 15 and 27.

The four-part podcast series "Camp Culture - Sexualities, Protection and Violence in International Youth Work" presents selected research findings from the peer research of "SchutzNorm - Schutzkonzepte in der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit. Normality constructions of sexuality and violence among young people" at the Kassel site. The joint project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research from July 2018 to June 2021. In cooperation with the ijgd - international youth community services and a group of peer researchers, the project team collected and analyzed views and constructions of normality on violence, sexuality and protection in international youth work. For this purpose, a nationwide, quantitative online survey was conducted with young people from four fields of youth work and qualitative interviews with young people in international youth work were collected and analyzed with the help of case vignettes.

The podcast series "Camp Culture" will present the results of the research and analysis as part of the digital youth festival "What is normal? Digital Youth Festival on Sexuality, Violence and Protection in Child and Youth Work". This will take place from May 6-8, 2021 for and with young people aged between 15 and 27.
