In this introductory lecture, the phenomena of load transfer are presented. Beginning with terms and definitions such as mass and force, through building materials and reactions to load transfer mechanisms, terms are defined. Complementary to the lecture, exercises with practical tasks are applied to the theoretical knowledge.
