Jobs and cooperations
Thank you for your interest in working in the Department of Environmental Meteorology.
We provide information on current vacancies at the News section.
Even if no positions are currently advertised, it is worth sending an unsolicited application if you are interested in working as a student assistant.
Please include a brief note on your motivation and relevant experience in the field of Environmental Meteorology with your application.
The Department is open to national and international research collaborations and welcomes new impulses and innovative ideas.
Please get in touch to develop new projects together and submit funding applications.
We are happy to supervise and support qualified and motivated colleagues who would like to work with us on a doctorate or research project. If there is a thematic fit, we offer close supervision and support with the application process.
Unless a position is advertised, the Department cannot finance doctoral projects from its own funds - external funding is therefore a prerequisite.
There are various options for funding, e.g. via scholarship programs, https://www.daad.de/de/in-deutschland-studieren/promovieren-forschen/promotion-finanzieren/ or as an Expose scholarship at the uni Kassel https://www.uni-kassel.de/uni/forschung/nachwuchsfoerderung/graduiertenakademie/finanzierung/stipendien/expose-stipendium.html
Requirements for supervision:
- The content of the planned research project fits in with the thematic focus of the Department.
- Very good knowledge of German or English to ensure a productive scientific exchange.
Please submit for this:
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of motivation
Project outline (approx. 2 pages) with a brief description of the project and a justification of the thematic fit with the Department of Environmental Meteorology.
