Esteban earned his degree as an Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos from the University of Alicante. After graduating in 2015, he moved to Germany and has since gained extensive practical experience as a road construction planner at engineering firms in Bamberg and Göttingen.

Since December 2023, he has been working as a research assistant at the University of Kassel. In this role, he actively combines his many years of practical expertise with research and teaching.

In his teaching role, Esteban is responsible for supervising an introductory studio course and a seminar during the winter semester. Both courses place a strong emphasis on modern road space design and mobility and are designed to familiarize students early on with practice-oriented and future-oriented topics.

His current dissertation focuses on integrated street design, particularly the integration of green infrastructure and climate adaptation strategies into transportation and street planning.

His commitment to sustainable development was evident in 2024 through his participation in the Climate Advisory Board of the municipality of Edermünde. In 2025 and 2026 he intensified his academic activities by participating in professional conferences and delivering lectures.
