How do multi-disciplinary spatial practices use institutional structures and frameworks in initiating pedagogical tools and platforms? How do such pedagogical platforms function as infrastructures of care spaces, responding to urgent socio-political conditions? In what geopolitical conditions may such socially engaged curricula transform themselves in transversal instituting? The lecture will focus on alternative pedagogical alliances as care infrastructure.

Wie nutzen multidisziplinäre räumliche Praktiken institutionelle Strukturen und Rahmen, um pädagogische Instrumente und Plattformen zu initiieren? Wie funktionieren solche pädagogischen Plattformen als Infrastrukturen von Betreuungsräumen, die auf dringende sozio-politische Bedingungen reagieren? Unter welchen geopolitischen Bedingungen können sich solche sozial engagierten Curricula in transversale Institutionen verwandeln? Der Vortrag wird sich auf alternative pädagogische Allianzen als Infrastrukturen für die Pflege konzentrieren.

Prof. Dr. Pelin Tan ist eine türkische Soziologin und Kunsthistorikerin. Sie ist die sechste Preisträgerin des Keith Haring Art and Activism Award und die Hauptautorin des Berichts Cities of Int.Panel of Social Progress (Cambridge Univ.Press., 2018). Derzeit ist Tan Professorin an der Filmabteilung der Batman University, Türkei. Senior Researcher am Center for Arts, Design and Social Research, Boston. Forscherin an der Fakultät für Architektur der Universität Thessalien, Griechenland (2021-2026). Sie ist die Kuratorin von Urgent Pedagogies von IASPIS (Stockholm), Cosmological Gardens: Land, Anbau, Pflege (CADSR) und MAAT Lissabon Didier F. Faustino Retrospektive (2023). Kuratoriumsmitglied der IBA Stuttgart 2027.
