Wintersemester 2025/2026
Betreuung | Prof. Philipp Eversmann
Wiss. Mitarbeitende | M. Sc. Hyo Wook Kim
This 5-day intensive workshop explores the reassembly of timber materials sourced from the urban environment. Participants will work through four interconnected methods that bridge the physical and digital realms.
• Method 01 (M1) – Physical to Digital
Scanning reclaimed timber pieces using your own phone or tablet to create accurate digital models.
• Method 02 (M2) – Digital Logistics
Organising and categorising scanned objects, and collaboratively designing a demonstrator with your teammates
• Method 03 (M3) – Experimental Design
Developing assembly strategies and exploring innovative timber joining techniques.
• Method 04 (M4) – Augmented Reality Assembly
Using AR technology to guide and assist in the assembly process.
Preparation
Each participant should bring 3–4 pieces of reclaimed timber (architectural scale) collected from the streets or construction waste sources.
Please note: No MDF, chipboard, or similar engineered wood products.
