On February 8, 2023, a total of eight Master's students in Business Education received a certificate for the SAP S/4HANA business software for the first time, which certifies their acquired skills for using the system in a business and teaching context. The students acquired the specialist and methodological knowledge required for this as part of the course "Business didactics 3: Project on business-related teaching/learning processes in the professional field of business and administration" (seminar leaders: Melanie Keßeler and Marian Thiel de Gafenco) with a seminar focus on enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including SAP S/4HANA. The innovative seminar concept and the possibility of certification are the result of the research and development work of the Department of Business Education with a Focus on Vocational Teaching and Learning (Prof. Dr. J. Klusmeyer) in the PRONET-D project, which aims to develop the digitalization-related skills of student teachers at the University of Kassel. On behalf of the teachers and students involved, the department would like to take this opportunity to thank the SAP4school IUS initiative for its cooperation in developing and providing the technical infrastructure and learning materials for schools and universities.
