Lesson planning in the 1st and 2nd phase of teacher training in Hesse - an expert workshop on business didactics organized by PRONET projects 21 and 22

The 5th day of the open vocational school workshop focused on lesson planning as a topic of the 1st and 2nd phase of teacher training in Hesse. 15 teacher trainers from the University of Kassel and a large number of Hessian vocational training colleges for business and administration gave short presentations to provide an overview of the topic of "Promoting lesson planning skills". It became clear that the competence area of lesson planning is very important for all participants. The different approaches to promoting skills in terms of content and methodology were highlighted. Against this background, a discussion took place on the further development of approaches to promoting lesson planning skills and on suitable coordination within teacher training. The workshop was linked to the PRONET projects "Portfolio work as a bridge between the first and second phase of teacher training" (P 21) and "Promoting professional (planning) action - Anchored Instruction Approach" (P 22).

Lesson planning - an exchange of experience in business didactics from PRONET projects 21 and 22

The 4th day of the open vocational school workshop was organized on the topic: "Lesson planning - an exchange of experience in business didactics" as part of the PRONET projects "Portfolio work as a bridge between the first and second phase of teacher training" (P 21) and "Promoting professional action - Anchored Instruction Approach" (P 22). The core of the exchange of experiences consisted of three specialist presentations by Prof. Dr. Tade Tramm and Marc Caspar (University of Hamburg), Dr. Matthias Söll and Prof. Dr. Jens Klusmeyer (University of Kassel, PRONET P 22) as well as by Martin Schuhmann, Serap Uzunbacak (University of Kassel, PRONET P 21) and seven pre-service teachers (Studienseminar für berufliche Schulen in Kassel, Außenstelle Fulda). The presentations led to a stimulating discussion on lesson planning and a profitable exchange of experiences between theory and practice among the more than 30 participants - in particular teachers from vocational schools, trainers at study seminars and principals.

Atelier at the Kassel Study Workshops Conference of the Center for Teacher Training at the University of Kassel

The 3rd day of the open vocational school workshop took place as part of the conference on the Kassel study workshops of the Center for Teacher Training at the University of Kassel. This was aimed at students, teachers, trainee teachers and teacher trainers. Insights were provided into the activities and possibilities of the various study workshops. The vocational school workshop presented its various offerings as part of a workshop. The focus was on complex teaching-learning films produced by students using the anchored instruction approach.

SELBST: Cooperation project university - vocational schools. Development and use of self-directed teaching-learning arrangements

The core of the 2nd day of the open vocational school workshop was a practical exchange between students and lecturers from the University of Kassel and teachers from vocational schools on the development and use of self-directed teaching-learning arrangements. First, selected student groups presented their project results on the topics of learning strategy training and anchored instruction. These were then discussed from the perspective of the respective interest groups.

Self-directed learning with innovative methods in business teaching

At the start of the series of transfer events "Day of the open vocational school workshop", elaborations on innovative teaching methods (e.g. anchored instruction approach, self-learning scripts, webquests) were presented and discussed by students and teachers of business education against the background of (business) diactical principles.
