From May 8 to 10, 2017, Berlin will host this year's"re:publica", one of the world's most important conferences on the topics of the digital society. Since its beginnings in 2007 with 700 bloggers, this event has developed into a "society conference" with over 8,000 participants from 60 countries. Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, Chair and Head of the Department of Information Systems at the University of Kassel, was interviewed by various media on the first day of re:publica and took part in the panel discussion "Will we soon all be working in the cloud?". Together with Vanessa Barth (IG Metall) and Dorothea Utzt (streetspotr), current developments in the digitalization of society and the economy were discussed under the moderation of Andrea Schneider-Dörr (on behalf of the Hans Böckler Foundation) and questions regarding the work of the future were debated.
