As part of his research stay at the iSchool of the University of Maryland(ischool.umd.edu), Dr. Christoph Peters gave his lecture on July 12, 2017 entitled: "Citizens as Experts of their Everyday Life -How to Facilitate Citizen-initiated Projects for Better Everyday Life in Cities (for more information, see also the UMD website ).

From May to August 2017, Christoph Peters is at the iSchool of the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park, Maryland, at the invitation of Brian Butler and Susan Winter. Among other things, he is conducting research in his core research areas of digital work and service systems. In the Smart City application context, the iSchool's research focus on "Smart and Connected Communities" at UMD provides a particularly large number of points of contact for joint research, which he is driving forward together with his hosts and other scientists from the renowned US university.
