Sustainability Day Work Teaching

Sustainability Day Work Studies *** 13.02.2026 *** 9:00-15:00 *** AVZ (Heinrich-Plett-Straße 40), Room 2298

Dear interested parties,

We cordially invite you to the Sustainability Day of the subject area of work studies on February 13 and look forward to your participation!

The subject of work studies differs from other school subjects in its integrative, problem- and situation-based approach, which focuses on the theoretical, empirical and practical examination of the world of work. Sustainability has always been an important topic in work studies and is more relevant today than ever. The world of work in particular is the pivotal point for environmentally conscious and sustainable behavior. Every day, it is here that decisions are made about how people deal with ecological, social and economic resources.

Students of work studies present their project results, in which they investigate how sustainable cooperative projects with a regional focus can be designed or what utopian visions of work look like. In addition, Dr. Maximilian Spiegelberg (SDG+ Lab, Laboratory for Sustainability Issues, UniKasselTransfer) will give a lecture at 11:30 a.m. followed by a discussion on the topic of "Bioeconomy North Hesse - Shaping structural change in North Hesse together".

With this in mind, we cordially invite: students of work studies, students from other departments and anyone with an interest in work studies or the topics of work, sustainability and the future. We look forward to welcoming people with a connection to the University of Kassel, people from Kassel and the surrounding area or people from outside.

Further information can be found in the flyer.

Registrations are not mandatory, but make planning easier for us and can be made here.
