Summary: The Science Platform Sustainable Finance (WPSF) is a cooperation project of five German research institutions funded by Stiftung Mercator. As an independent voice from the scientific community, the project partners aim to support decision-makers in politics, the financial sector and the real economy in understanding and shaping the central role of capital markets on the path to a climate-neutral economy. The participating scientists support the answering of central social, political and private sector questions, provide established and new findings and actively participate in the political and public discourse. In addition, they want to establish the topic of sustainable finance more firmly in the German research landscape and ensure links with international institutions and processes.
