rom August to October 2018, Sissy-Josefina Ernst completed a research stay in Brisbane, Australia. At the invitation of Prof. Sabine Matook, Ms. Ernst visited the Business School of the University of Queensland as a visiting researcher. The UQ Business School is part of the University of Queensland, one of Australia's leading teaching and research institutions. Founded in 1909, the University of Queensland is the oldest and largest university in the Australian state of Queensland.

During her stay, Ms. Ernst conducted research on topics such as theory-based design of learning services and cultural adaptation of information systems. In addition, Ms. Ernst attended the doctoral seminar under the direction of Prof. Ron Weber during her research stay.
