15th WISIC PhD Workshop, April 11-13, 2018, St.Gallen, Switzerland.

From April 11 to 13, 2018, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, the 15th. Doktoranden-Workshop on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) of the Department of Information Systems of the University of Kassel and the Institute of Information Systems of the University of St.Gallen took place. This workshop is part of the international and structured doctoral education of the Departments / Institutes of Information Systems of the Universities in Kassel and St. Gallen. The venue of this event alternates semi-annually between the two universities, this 15th workshop was held in St. Gallen according to rotation.

In the course of the PhD workshop 22 PhD students presented their respective topics in different formats to a total of 31 participants, depending on their PhD progress and status: Relevance Pitch, Idea Presentation, Proposal and Journal Paper Project. The goal of this workshop is to advance the respective dissertation project through intensive discussions with other doctoral students as well as professors, habilitation students and post-docs. In addition, new ideas and impulses for one's own dissertation project are to be gained through the feedback gained in this workshop and peer groups are to be established through points of contact to topics of other participants. 

The topics of the WISIC participants covered a wide range of research areas such as Big Data Analytics, Crowdsourcing, Collaboration Engineering, Gamification, Service Engineering, eLearning and IT Innovation Management. Attached are some photo impressions of this three-day event.
