Habilitation lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Matthias Söllner in St.Gallen

On Friday, October 26, 2018, the habilitation lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Matthias Söllner took place. Matthias Söllner submitted his habilitation thesis on "Understanding and Designing Effective Digital Innovations in Learning" to the University of St.Gallen in November 2017. The cumulative habilitation thesis covers key research findings that Matthias Söllner has developed over the past few years together with his team in the areas of "Effective IT use in university teaching and learning" and "Effective IT use in in-company training and continuing education". In his habilitation lecture, he spoke on the topic of "Development and evaluation of an IT-based formative feedback tool to improve student learning outcomes". The lecture is based on a current joint research article that Matthias Söllner will present together with Roman Rietsche, Kevin Duss and Jan Martin Persch at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in San Francisco in December. In the evening after the habilitation lecture, an aperitif was held to celebrate this milestone with colleagues at the Institute of Information Systems.
