22nd Doctoral Workshop WISIC from 20.09. - 22.09.2021 in St. Ottilien

The 22nd Doctoral Workshop on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) of the Department of Information Systems at the University of Kassel and the Institute of Information Systems at the University of St. Gallen took place from September 20 to 22, 2021. After the 21st edition of WISIC could only take place online, all participants were happy to be able to meet again this time at the monastery in St. Ottilien, Bavaria.

Over the course of the three-day doctoral workshop, 19 doctoral candidates from both universities presented their topics in different formats, depending on their doctoral progress and status: Relevance Pitch, Idea Presentation, Proposal and Journal Paper Project. The aim of this workshop is to advance the respective dissertation project through intensive discussions with other doctoral candidates as well as professors and post-docs. In addition, the feedback gained in this workshop should provide new ideas and impetus for your own dissertation project and peer groups should be established through links to the topics of other participants.

The topics of the WISIC participants once again covered a wide range of research areas of the participating chairs. As is now a good tradition, joint social activities also took place where possible due to the pandemic.
