Kick-off conference of the Kassel Institute for Sustainability

On 15.09.2022, there will be a 90-minute panel at the Kassel Institute for Sustainability's kick-off conference entitled "Sustainability through platformization? Challenges and prerequisites for the sustainable digitalization of markets". This has met with a great response from the founding board of directors.

It includes presentations from Departments 07 and 16 as well as the ITeG. In addition, Prof. Dr. Verena Tiefenbeck (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg), an internationally renowned junior researcher, and Prof. Dr. Johann Kranz (LMU Munich), a well-established colleague, have been recruited so that the proposed panel will promote interdisciplinary research within our university and beyond.

The following panel proposals from the Department of Economics have been selected:

Andreas Ernst & Henn: "CESR - The role of the individual in the socio-ecological transformation
Gunnar Gutsche & Christian Klein: Financing the Sustainable Development Goals - An outlook of future research
Stefan Seuring & Ralf Wagner: Sustainability through Platformization? Challenges and prerequisites for a sustainable digitalization of markets

Stefan Gold on the panel "ICDD - Economic Policies for a Just Transition" coordinated by Christoph Scherrer & Simone Claar
Ralf Wagner on the panel "CirCles: "Sustainable Management of Urban Residual Biomass (SDG-Graduiertenpr.)" coordinated by Tobis Morck.
