23rd doctoral seminar in Berlin

The 23rd edition of the Doctoral Workshop on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) took place in Berlin from 09.05. - 11.05.2022. Thankfully, the seminar was able to take place on the premises of HiSolutions AG. This time, the departments of Information Systems and Information Systems & Systems Development from the University of Kassel, the Department of Information Systems from the University of Osnabrück and the Institute of Information Systems from the University of St. Gallen were represented.

Over the course of the three-day doctoral workshop, 23 doctoral candidates from both universities presented their topics in different formats, depending on their doctoral progress and status: Relevance Pitch, Idea Presentation, Proposal and Journal Paper Project. The aim of the seminar is to advance the respective dissertation project through intensive discussions with other doctoral students as well as professors and post-docs. In addition, the feedback gained in this workshop is intended to provide new ideas and impetus for your own dissertation project.

For the first time, the program also included a keynote lecture. We were able to win Associate Professor Sabine Matook for this. She spoke on the topic of "Educational innovation for workplace readiness: Important teaching field and an area for research" and addressed the relevance of knowledge building and its application.

Another highlight of the 23rd WISIC was the foosball tournament that rounded off the program.
