Reinforcement in the team: Laura Herget

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Laura Herget as a new research assistant in the team of the Department of Vocational and Business Education since 1.2.2026.

Laura Herget completed her bilingual Bachelor's degree in International Health Sciences at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. During this time, she deepened her profile through various international research and study visits, including in Oslo. She successfully completed her Master's degree in Vocational Education in Health with a second subject in Politics and Economics at the University of Kassel in cooperation with Fulda University of Applied Sciences with the grade "very good". During her Master's degree, she worked as a student assistant and tutor in the fields of public health and political didactics. She again spent study-related time abroad (Norway and Spain). Her current research focuses on the analysis of dropout processes in the training of nursing professionals. In particular, she examines the complex interdependencies between social interaction dynamics, individual agency and the processes of professional learning in the nursing context.

We are looking forward to Ms. Herget's new ideas in teaching and research at the department. Welcome, dear Laura!
