The 11th Workshop on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) of the Department of Information Systems of the University of Kassel and the Institute of Information Systems of the University of St.Gallen took place from March 15-17, 2016 with 24 doctoral candidates and more than 30 participants. This workshop is part of the international and structured doctoral training of the departments / institutes of Information Systems of the Universities of Kassel and St. Gallen. The venue for this event alternates every six months between the two universities; this 11th workshop was held in St. Gallen.

During the workshop, the doctoral candidates presented their respective topics in different formats, depending on their doctoral progress and status: Idea Pitch, Idea Talk, Dissertation Proposal, Paper Project and Paper Project Progress. The aim of this workshop is to advance the respective dissertation project through intensive discussions with other doctoral candidates as well as professors, habilitation candidates and post-docs. In addition, the feedback gained in this workshop should provide new ideas and impetus for your own dissertation project and peer groups should be established through links to the topics of other participants.

The topics of the WISIC participants covered a wide range of research areas such as service engineering, eLearning, collaboration engineering, IT innovation management, IT outsourcing and crowdsourcing.
