14th WISIC doctoral workshop from September 11-13, 2017 in Kassel
From September 11 to 13, 2017, the 14th Doctoral Workshop on IT, Service, Innovation and Collaboration (WISIC) of the Department of Information Systems of the University of Kassel and the Institute of Information Systems of the University of St.Gallen took place under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister. This workshop is part of the international and structured doctoral program of the Department / Institute of Information Systems of the Universities of Kassel and St. Gallen. The venue for this event alternates every six months between the two universities; this 14th workshop was held in Kassel as scheduled. This time, the 14th WISIC also included a visit to documenta 14 in Kassel, the world's most important series of contemporary art exhibitions, which takes place every five years.
Over the course of the workshop, 23 doctoral candidates presented their respective topics to a total of 32 participants in various formats, depending on their doctoral progress and status: Relevance Pitch, Idea Presentation, Proposal and Journal Paper Project. The aim of this workshop is to advancethe respective dissertation projectthrough intensive discussions with other doctoral candidates as well as professors, habilitation candidates and post-docs.
