The 2019 annual report of the Department of Information Systems (Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister) at the University of Kassel has recently been published. It provides insights into the research, teaching and other activities of the department, which can look back on another very successful year in 2019. Particular highlights in 2019 were the International Conference on Information Systems(ICIS) 2019 in Munich with leading participation of the department, the excellent performance in the Wirtschaftswoche research ranking at the beginning of 2019 and the publication of the new edition of the department's textbook "Dienstleistungsengineering und -management"(DEM). Newly acquired or extended research projects - funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research(BMBF) and the German Research Foundation(DFG), among others - with correspondingly acquired third-party funding, the presence at all relevant national and international business informatics conferences and a total of 56 publications in 2019 are further keywords.
