In his inaugural lecture on the topic of "The human-centered design of digital and AI-based solutions", Christoph Peters impressively demonstrated various aspects from which the topic can be examined and researched - always with the user in focus.

In his lecture, he illustrated his approach to the design of IT-based products and services using examples from the areas of agile, crowdwork, personal services and high-tech solutions. Particular attention was paid to the question of how the needs of future users of such systems can be adequately addressed - with the aim of designing systems that are not only technologically innovative, but also socially desirable. The inaugural lecture was attended by many guests, including the Dean of the School of Management, Prof. Dr. Reinhard Jung, as well as other representatives of the HSG, family members, friends, colleagues and representatives of companies with whom Christoph Peters has pursued joint projects in recent years.

Christoph Peters completed his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister at the University of Kassel in 2015 and has been working at the Institute for Information Systems (IWI-HSG) since then, first as a postdoc, since 2019 as an assistant professor and after his habilitation in 2020 as a private lecturer at the HSG. He is a research group leader at the University of Kassel.
