The kick-off event for the joint project 'WÖRLD - Wirtschaftspädagogik und Ökonomische Bildung: Lehrkräftebildung und Unterricht Digital' (duration 06/23 - 12/25; FKZ: 01JA23S02A) took place on 29 + 30 June at the Institute for Vocational Education and Training. The event was hosted by Prof. Dr. Jens Klusmeyer (Department of Business Education with a focus on Vocational Teaching and Learning), who welcomed a total of 30 participants from the consortium's 14 sub-projects.

However, the event not only served to get to know the cooperation partners, but also to launch the content-related work of WÖRLD. To this end, Prof. Dr. Frank Lipowsky (Department of Educational Sciences with a focus on empirical school and teaching research) was invited as a guest speaker for the first day of the conference, who provided important impulses for the work in WÖRLD, but also for the learning:digital competence network, in his presentation 'Characteristics of effective further training for teachers' and stimulated discussion. On the second day, the participants focused on the design of WÖRLD's areas of work and key topics, which will provide the framework for the first few months of the project. The scientific staff of the sub-projects had a special role to play here. They were able to discuss their experiences in the field of digitalization and teacher training in groups and formulate their expectations of the project management.
