Study and CareerTalk

In order to offer advanced students the opportunity to exchange views on career prospects with companies in the region, we offer the "Study and CareerTalk" event series in cooperation with the employer association Hessenmetall Nordhessen.

The series of events offers a unique opportunity to get to know companies from different sectors, gain insights into their corporate culture, and get a glimpse of possible career paths. For students, this offers opportunities to make initial contacts for internships, theses or future employment.

At our next Study and Career Talk, you will have the opportunity to get in touch with AUTARK GmbH as a potential place to work and perhaps already secure your entry-level job after your studies! In addition, you will have the opportunity not only to get to know the company's employees in advance, but also to ask questions about work and career entry in a direct exchange:

Autark GmbH in Baunatal has been offering development solutions for the international automotive industry since 1990. Its products include quality data acquisition and visualization, host computer technology, warehouse control systems and the flashing of vehicle control units.

The company trains IT specialists in application development. Autark offers students of computer science or electrical engineering the opportunity of a scholarship as part of a dual study program. Students can also write their Bachelor's or Master's thesis with Autark as an industry partner.

sera GmbH from Immenhausen presented itself in the first edition of the new Study and CareerTalk format in August 2023.

"Students have the opportunity to make initial contact with HR managers, discuss specific topics for Bachelor's or Master's theses or enter into an open dialog about trainee positions and specific application processes. And companies get to know potential junior staff for their specialist departments," explains Frauke Syring, HESSENMETALL Nordhessen.

"The special thing about the online talk is that it opens up career opportunities after graduation while students are still studying. At the same time, it increases motivation to successfully complete your studies in the allotted time," adds Sandra Drozdowski from Student Marketing at the University of Kassel.

The first "Study and CareerTalk" was kicked off by the family-run company sera from Immenhausen. After the company presentation, HR managers Svenja Schneider and Stefanie Vogel talked about specific job advertisements and application procedures: "As an environmental technology company, we are looking for bright minds who want to work with us in the fields of hydrogen, compressor and dosing technology to create added value for people and the environment."

We always welcome meaningful unsolicited applications. The event made it clear how valuable the exchange can be for the personal and professional development of students.
