Value creation and appreciation - renegotiating work and the economy

How can production and work be designed in such a way that they secure our future and at the same time receive more recognition?

This is one of the questions that the team at the SDG+ Lab at the University of Kassel is addressing in the current theme year "Transformation in work and the economy". A part of the exhibition "Appreciation and Appreciation" from the theme year will now also be on display in Witzenhausen.

Thanks to the kind support of Sparkasse Werra-Meißner, alternative models to our current value chains will be on display in the foyer of the Sparkasse main branch in Witzenhausen from April 29 - June 17, 2026. Instead of produce - use - throw away, the focus will be on cycles, reuse, sharing and the revaluation of materials.

The theme year is planned from November 2025 to autumn 2026 with numerous activities, workshops and real-life laboratory projects and is therefore full of opportunities for participation. Together, we will focus on approaches for an ecologically sustainable economy - in science and specifically in North Hesse.
