2010 Award from the Scientific Society of Milk Producer Consultants

Ms Katrin Juliane Schiffer has been awarded a prize by the Scientific Society of Milk Producer Advisors(WGM) for her Master's thesis on "Optimizing milking comfort on large dairy farms". The thesis, written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hensel (Department of Agricultural Engineering) and Prof. Dr. Ton Baars (Department of Biodynamic Agriculture), examines the physical and mental strain of working in modern milking carousel systems and makes recommendations for improving working conditions.
