2009 - Workshop construction of a wind turbine

In 2009, a 1 kW wind turbine was installed in the frame as part of a workshop held by students on the Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency master's degree course. With a rotor diameter of 3.6 m and a mast height of 10 m, the turbine feeds the electricity generated into the public grid. The hardware for this, such as the inverter, load resistor and overvoltage protection, is provided by SMA from Niestetal.
