Wenxiu Chi

Wenxiu Chi joined the Chair of Social-Ecological Interactions in Agricultural Systems as a joint doctoral candidate in March 2022. She is participating in a successive master-doctor program in Landscape Architecture at the South China University of Technology. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018.

Wenxiu’s dissertation topic is the landscape sustainability of the dike-pond system in the Pearl River Delta, China. She explores the way local people manage the existent resources and find ways to increase the resilience of socio-ecological systems. Her research interests include ecosystem services as well as common resource management.
