Paula Aschenbrenner
Paula is a PhD student in the group of agroecosystem analysis and modelling as well as the group on Adaptation in Agricultural Systems at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). She analyses changing climate conditions in Sub-Saharan Africa and Central Asia working with past and future climate data and investigating the suitability of climate projections for agricultural modelling. Paula develops a statistical yield model further, aiming at forecasting wheat and cotton yields in Central Asia. A focus of the research is to provide subsequent information to stakeholders and decision makers.
Paula holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Leipzig as well as a MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Besides working at PIK, Paula is in training to become a process moderator.
