New publication: Modeling the infection risk in vehicles of local public transport for aerosol transmitted viruses

How high is the risk of infection on public transport - and how can it be reliably quantified?

In our current publication, we present a model that systematically calculates the risk of infection in public transport by linking both the probability of contact and the probability of infection.

The model makes it possible to determine the current risk of infection for passengers, analyze scenarios and objectively compare measures (e.g. masks). The study thus provides a sound basis for evidence-based decisions in public transport.
