Student assistants (m/f/d), 5–10 hours per week for the APPLI projects
The Cycling and Local Mobility Research Group seeks interdisciplinary answers to questions regarding the sustainable transformation of mobility. As part of new research projects, our goal is to incorporate psychological aspects of the mobility transition and, in particular, to target women as a key audience for cycling initiatives. Your responsibilities will primarily include the following tasks:
- Assisting with the evaluation and further development of psychology instruction
- Assisting with the development and testing of Socratic chatbots for teaching
- Assisting with research activities, survey planning, and data analysis in the VELOA project
Ideal qualifications for your application are:
- An interest in topics related to (traffic and environmental) psychology
- Interest in bicycle traffic research
- Interest in gender-related aspects of sustainable mobility
- Previous experience with or interest in AI-supported teaching methods
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, transportation and urban planning, urban and regional planning, educational research, or teacher education)
- Basic knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and a passion for scientific work
- Basic knowledge of data analysis software (R, SPSS, MAXQDA, …)
- An independent, reliable, and structured approach to work
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
