Construction Production Planning

Construction production planning deals with the planning, organization, and management of construction processes throughout the entire project lifecycle, with a particular focus on the execution phase. The goal is to implement construction projects in a cost-effective manner, on schedule, and to the required quality standards, while taking into account the specific project conditions.

The program combines established construction management methods with current approaches to digitalization. A key focus is on the further development and application of Lean Construction as well as on digital construction production planning. Digital tools and data are used to plan, analyze, and continuously improve construction processes.

Research and teaching are practice-oriented and address issues in both planning and execution. Key areas of focus include construction scheduling and resource planning, construction site logistics, production control, and (digital) methods for planning and optimizing construction processes.
