Filming for the television program "TerraXpress

We examined a solid reinforced concrete ceiling, two different wooden beam ceilings and a wood-concrete composite ceiling in front of a running camera to compare the load-bearing behavior, vibration behavior and sound insulation of different ceiling systems. The components had a span of six meters. As expected, the wood-beam floor was able to demonstrate its outstanding efficiency in terms of load-bearing capacity. With approx. 52 kN - that is about 5.2 tons - the bearing load was more than 20 times the dead weight of the construction. Parallel to the work of the professional camera team, we also filmed some sequences for a series of educational videos, which we will include in our lectures in the future. A short summary will already be available from April 18, 2021, in the episode "My way to the dream house" in the ZDF media library. The broadcast date for the comprehensive documentary has not yet been set.
