Insights into the Production of Cement and Cement Additives
The Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry organized a student field trip to provide participants with hands-on insights into the production of cement and the cement additive blast furnace slag powder. As part of the interdisciplinary field trip week, a group of students from the civil and environmental engineering programs visited the Holcim cement plant in Höver/Sehnde on June 15, as well as Holcim’s blast furnace granulation plant on the grounds of Salzgitter AG.
