Franziska Henkel nominated for the Carl Pirath Prize!

The Carl Pirath Prize of the German Transport Science Association @dvwg_ev is one of the most prestigious awards in the German transport sector. It is aimed at doctoral students and graduates of engineering courses and recognizes outstanding theses - especially those with innovative content, practical relevance and a clear reference to sustainable transport development.

As part of her doctorate, Franziska Henkel dealt with the important topic of mobility justice. She developed a method for quantifying mobility options in order to make the risk of mobility-related social exclusion visible - especially for vulnerable groups such as those at risk of poverty, single parents or people with physical disabilities. The aim is to improve planning in a targeted manner and make it fairer.

The award ceremony will take place on December 1 - we are keeping our fingers crossed for her!
