Mobility is a basic prerequisite for social participation - but not everyone has the same opportunities to get around. In her dissertation, Franziska Henkel developed a method to make mobility options measurable. The resulting Mobility Options Index (MOX) takes into account not only objective accessibility, but also individual factors - an important step towards fairer transport and social planning.
