Venue

The conference will take place at the University of Kassel on the campus "Holländischer Platz". The whole conference will be held in the building "Campus Center" ( see Event location, Link to open street map: full-screen display ).

How to get there by public transportation

By public transport you can reach the University of Kassel (Holländischer Platz) by a local transportation (Tram, Regiotram and Bus, station "Holländischer Platz") both from the railway station "Kassel Wilhelmshöhe" or the cultural station "Kulturbahnof / Hauptbahnhof". For those arriving by ICE or another express train, it is easier and much faster to stop at the station "Kassel Wilhelmshöhe" and then take the tram lines 1,2 or 3 to get directly to "Holländischer Platz". By Car

There are no free parking lots next to the conference venue. You will find parking lots with a fee around the conference venue (Moritzstraße, Mönchebergstraße, Henschelstraße, Gottschalkstraße).

How to buy a ticket

The tickets of the Kasseler Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (KVG) can be used for the different local transportation system's (Tram, Regiotram and Bus).

Single Ticket, Five-Trip Ticket or Multi ticket (Day ticket)

You will find the ticket machines in the local transportation systems. Ticket machines outside of the local transportation systems can be find at the railway station "Kassel Wilhelmshöhe" and the cultural station "Kulturbahnhof / Hauptbahnhof".

Alternatively, you can download the NVV app (NVV mobil) and pay the ticket with it. The instructions can be found accordingly in the app., 

Instructions

You have to choose a single, multi or Five-Trip ticket and you have to choose "1 einfache Fahrt / 1 one-way trip". A "Kurzstrecke / short distance" is only valid for 4 stops. 

In advance hotels around the conference venue and the cultural station (Kulturbahnhof / Hauptbahnhof) rooms have been reserved for conference participant until 30th of Juli, 2019. Special rates have been negotiated for GACM 2019 attendees who can reserve the rooms directly with the hotels. In addition there are various hotels that could not reserve rooms for GACM 2019 attendees, but are recommended by the conference organizers.
