Nicolas Rüffin successfully defended his thesis on 29 October 2025. His dissertation is entitled „Die Muster multilateraler Wissenschaftspolitik – Eine vergleichende Untersuchung der Genese internationaler Forschungsorganisationen“. The doctoral committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Langfeldt, Prof. Dr. Jakobi, Prof. Dr. Kleimann and PD Dr. Hüther.

Nicolas Rüffin is researcher at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn working on the project “ReMade@ARI – REcyclable MAterials DEvelopment at Analytical Research Infrastructures”. He has studied business psychology (B.Sc.) at Ruhr University Bochum and science studies (M.A.) at Humboldt University in Berlin. From 2019 to 2022, he was a scholarship holder in the doctoral programme of the sdw – Foundation of German Business.
