Stefan Beljean is a senior researcher at INCHER since 2024. His research interests span the fields of cultural sociology, higher education research, and media sociology. His research at INCHER focuses on the communication of universities as organizational actors. He is currently working on two research projects related to this topic.

  • Competition and communication. The German excellence founding competition as a topic of university communication. 2006–2026
  • How universities compete for students and their attention. A content analysis of advertisements in the ZEIT Study Guide, 2005-2025
